We believe parents CAN homeschool!
At Rooted & Rising Homeschool Hybrid, we believe that God created the family and home as our children’s first learning and discipleship environment.
We are a Kindergarten through 8th grade homeschool hybrid focused on supporting local homeschool families. We hope to help equip and encourage you on your journey!
We want to see every family rooted in faith and rising up into their God given potential!
What is a Hybrid Model?
Rooted & Rising Homeschool Hybrid is a partnership between parents/guardians and certified/highly qualified teachers. The teachers and parents are both responsible for teaching the curriculum. Our teachers instruct two days a week (3 hours per day) at Rooted & Rising Hybrid and parents homeschool the other three days. Families are registered with the state of Kansas as homeschoolers.
All hybrid teachers adhere to Rooted and Rising’s statement of faith and commit to living this out in their own lives as well as modeling for our families and students.

Our Mission
Our mission is to support both homeschool students and families to thrive throughout their homeschooling journey. We believe God created us for community and we are passionate about encouraging and uplifting one another along the way. God created children with the potential to not just survive their educational journey, but to thrive. We encourage creativity and excellence in everything we teach with cooperative learning opportunities. We believe in redeeming childhood and letting children have more freedom to play and enjoy family life while they are young. Our goal is to equip families and disciple children while also empowering parents that they are the experts of their children and we are here to support them. We desire for families and children to learn about God’s love and purpose and we hope to help move each family and child closer to a personal relationship with Jesus. As they become rooted in their faith and education we hope students and families can rise in our generation to be an intentional witness for Christ!
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Colossians 2:6-7
Parent Teacher Team
We want parents to feel equipped and confident as their children’s first teacher! As a registered homeschool family with the state of Kansas, it is ultimately the duty and responsibility of the parent(s) to educate their child(ren). However, through our hybrid model we desire to come alongside families to help provide a rigorous and engaging curriculum with a compassionate and highly qualified teaching staff.
Our Educational Philosophy
Our approach to education is to integrate the benefits of classroom learning while still allowing families and students the independence of homeschooling. We prioritize small class sizes, differentiated instruction, hands-on learning experiences, and the added bonus of time for students to socialize with others!
We aim to honor God in all that we do. Classes are taught by teachers who know, love, and follow Jesus! Biblical truths and principles are integrated freely throughout the school day, no matter the content area. Students are taught how much God loves them and we encourage them to get to know Him through prayer and reading the Bible.
We believe that children belong first to the Lord and He has given the responsibility of raising and teaching them to their parents. We support parents in this role of educating their children and partner with them to provide a more enriching educational experience.
Beliefs & Values
We believe God’s Word is our final authority for faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that people were created in the image of God, both male and female (Gen. 1:26-28) and that these two distinct and immutable genders were part of God’s good and perfect plan for creation. Furthermore, God designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24)
We believe all human life is sacred and precious and that murder is wrong (Genesis 9:6 - murder is wrong; Genesis 1:26- Man was made in the image of God; Jeremiah 1:5- God knowing an individual from conception, Psalm 139- the Psalmist praises God whom he says "created my inmost being...[and] knit me together in my mothers womb.)
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Messiah, God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. (Rom. 3:23) We believe Jesus Christ died in our place, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.
We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ will be at a time known only to God.
We value sharing the love and light of Jesus with others. We seek to be a community that offers grace, mercy, truth, and a Christ-centered approach to learning. We strive to provide a safe atmosphere and maintain healthy relationships with one another.
“True eduction is awakening a child’s heart to wonder and truth”
